Research chair established

Dr. Sulaiman bin Abdullah Abaalkhil, the Director of Imam Muhammad Bin Saud University and Chairman of the Council of Research Chairs, yesterday signed a contract to establish a research chair named for Sheikh Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Towaijri in the field of personal affairs studies. The agreement was signed in the presence of Engineer Abdulsalam bin Abdullah Al-Towaijri and the delegation accompanying him.
With the establishment of this research chair, Abaalkhil honored the scholarship of Sheikh Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Towaijri at Imam Muhammad bin Saud University. The research chair will contribute in the advancement of many fields, most notably personal affairs issues, and will positively affect the field of judicial work.
The establishment of the research chair also honors and preserves the high qualifications, knowledge and capabilities of the most advanced academic institution in the Kingdom in the subject of the judicial branch, through its Higher Institute of the Judiciary. In light of this distinction and achievement, Dr. Abaalkhil blessed Engineer Abdulsalam Al-Towaijri with the University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud University of Science of Sovereignty and Entrepreneurship.
Benefit to society
The Rector pointed out that this research chair is a link to the objective of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to develop the judicial facility, especially through the scientific and technical developments of the Higher Judicial Institute.
Eventually, this institute will become seven sections, all specializing in aspects of the judicial field. For his part, Eng. Abdulsalam Al-Towaijri expressed his happiness to adopt the funding of this research chair, which bears the name of his father Sheikh Abdullah Al-Towaijri, at such a prestigious university. He expressed his thanks to the University’s director and the chairs of the research program for their cooperation and interest and hopes this research chair will benefit the society and to achieve its objectives.
The Dean of Scientific Research and the Secretary of the Research Chairs Program at the University, Dr. Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al-Askar, noted that this chair is distinguished for the attention paid to its founding by the State, as well as for its focus on personal affairs status issues relative to the Ministry of Justice’s direction to establish a special section on personal affairs status issues.
